| Trainer Profile Aamir Jamil is Principal Advisor, Lead Consultant and Lead Instructor at Business Beam. He has more than fourteen (14) years of extensive experience in Information Technology industry in various roles and capacities including Quality Management, Service Management, Information Security, Requirements Engineering, and Project Management. Aamir currently leads Information Assurance and IT Governance areas in the organization. Aamir has considerable expertise and experience in Information Security Management, Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning encompassing Impact Analyses, Risk Assessment, IT Governance, and Strategy and Plan Development. Aamir received his M.S. Computer Science degree from Preston University. He is also a Bachelors degree holder from Karachi University. Aamir is: ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) COBIT 4.1 Foundation Certified by ISACA IRCA Certified ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Lead Auditor IRCA Certified ISO 9001 Quality Management System Lead Auditor ISO 27001 Information Security Management System Lead Implementer As Lead Consultant, Aamir has successfully delivered various assignments including several implementations of Quality Management Systems, and Information Security Management Systems. Introduction
Implementing effective IT governance and control enhances stakeholder value by enabling more efficient and effective leveraging of IT assets. Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) provides best practice in IT Governance for IT professionals and managers. Created by the IT Governance Institute (ITGI), COBIT provides a comprehensive set of measures, indicators, processes and control objectives across a broad spectrum of IT processes.
The COBIT Foundation course is an interactive, classroom-based learning experience. Participants learn about the need for an IT control framework and how COBIT addresses this need by providing a globally accepted IT governance and control framework. This course explains the elements and supporting materials of the COBIT framework in a logical and example-driven approach for everyone interested in obtaining foundation level knowledge of COBIT.
COBIT Foundation Exam
In this course, you have the opportunity to take the COBIT Foundation Exam on the final day of class. The COBIT Foundation Exam is a 60 minute, 40 questions, multiple-choice exam, administered and marked by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). You must achieve a passing mark of 70% to achieve certification.
